Rookie’s birth mother died when he was a tiny puppy.
Fortunately, he was never alone because he grew up on a farm and could seek love and comfort from the other animals who lived there.
He was drawn to the two cows in particular, and to one of them in particular.
The orphaned child developed a strong bond with one of the cows and began treating her as his mother.
And the cow was more than happy to give Rookie the motherly love he craved.
Rookie and his bovine mommy became nearly inseparable, and he would snuggle up to her and take long, comfortable naps on her back.
Apart from their physical appearances, they were just like any other mother and son duo, playing, cuddling, and lovingly licking each other.
Rookie and the cow’s bond had grown so deep and profound after two years of living and loving each other that neither of them could imagine life without the other.
However, there was trouble on the horizon.
Rookie’s owners couldn’t afford to keep both cows and had to make the difficult decision to sell one.
When they took his mother out of the barn, Rookie realized she wasn’t going to return. The little pup started barking his little heart out, but it was in vain.
The cow was relocated to a nearby farm. Any distance, however, was too far for Rookie.
He ran out to look for her as soon as the cow was taken away.
He tracked her down in a barn near his house after hearing her voice.
Rookie and his mother were overjoyed to see each other, but their joy was fleeting.
Rookie’s owner found him and carried the distressed and struggling pup back home.
Rookie’s owners hoped that the remaining cow would be enough to keep him happy, but the pup craved his mother.
He became depressed without her, barely ate, and spent most of his time crying, whining, and howling.
Rookie’s family eventually realized that they couldn’t keep Rookie and his mother apart any longer.
It was obvious that the little pup would never recover from his loss. He simply adored her.
As a result, they decided to bring the cow home.
Rookie couldn’t believe it when he saw his mother.
He burst out laughing and dashed over to greet her.
The cow was also overjoyed to see her little baby again, and it was clear that despite their different species, their bond is genuine and strong.
It’s a good reminder that love isn’t concerned with superficial differences.
