When a cop responds to a call about a ‘vicious’ pit bull on the loose, a good boy jumps into the police car

He wasn’t a monster, but he was a great dog.

A police officer in Texarkana, Texas, responded to a report of a “vicious” pit bull running loose in a neighborhood. He was expecting to meet a monster, but instead he found a good boy on his best behavior.

Officer Travis Frost approached the pit bull sitting on someone’s porch, according to the police department’s Facebook post. He left his car door open in case the dog tried to attack, but that’s when the pit mix decided to make himself at home!

This dog was not a monster!

Officer Frost was forced to take photos of the pit bull relaxing in his car.

The best part of the whole situation: thanks to his microchip, the police were able to reunite the sweet dog with his owner after the precious photo shoot. Gold has returned home, safe and sound!

What is the story’s moral?  “Pit bulls have a bit of a bad reputation. While you should always be careful around any dog that you don’t know, you shouldn’t automatically assume that all pit bulls are bad dogs. They might be really loving like this guy was this morning,” Officer Frost said.
We couldn’t put it better ourselves.
