Grab some tissues and enjoy the adorable scene as a child presents his grandfather with a home run baseball

A video touched many people when a boy gave his grandfather a home run baseball. It is the story of Felix and his grandfather, Bruce Carrier. But what really makes viewers cry are the words of love that the two of them have for each other.

The endearing video that Felix’s mother, Melissa Carrier-Damon, shared on Instagram, shows the youngster approaching his grandfather while beaming widely.

Before adding that he also received a grand slam during the game, Felix says to Carrier: “So you know I got two home runs right?”

Felix adds: “I signed the ball for you and it says ‘Papa I love you.’

The voice becoming immediately emotional, Carrier asks: “Why did you do that?”

“Because you taught me everything about baseball,” Felix replies.

The grandfather cries and says “Oh honey bunny,”

Although it was only a brief moment, it was so full of feel-good vibes that it went viral and received close to 500,000 likes.

Many remarked on how heartfelt it was.

One person wrote: “I’m crying! such a special bond they have, I love how Grandpa calls him honey, so sweet.”

Another person remarked, “this is all heart ❤️ ❤️ thank you for sharing this beautiful moment.”

It also sparked some gratitude for grandparents.

“Goodness this is the sweetest video! Grandparents are so damn precious!”

“That made me miss my grandfather.”

Carrier-Damon revealed in a TODAY interview that Felix was solely responsible for the baseball present. Carrier, a former college baseball coach, has supported Felix continuously since he started playing at the age of 4 by playing catch with him, taking him to batting practice, and never missing a game of him.

Carrier-Damon said TODAY, “[He’s] just a really big part of the family.”

Carrier said to USA Today that watching the video again still makes him “teary-eyed. “I’m so proud he let me be part of that day.”
