In these touching pictures, a guy pushes a wheelbarrow to carry his dying dog one more time up their favorite mountain.
Ten-year-old labradoodle Monty liked going on walks with his devoted owner Carlos Fresco all over the country.
The dynamic team had previously climbed Pen y Fanin the Brecon Beacons in Wales numerous times, so Carlos decided to do it with Monty one last time after learning that he wasn’t feeling well.
Unfortunately, Monty was diagnosed with cancer, and as his condition worsened, Carlos made the decision to accompany him on one last stroll.
After an 18-month fight with leukemia, Monty passed away.
Even though Monty was weak and exhausted, he took pleasure in all the fuss and attention from well-wishers on his journey up to the summit. People on the hills were incredibly sympathetic and sad at his failing health.
In fact, whole strangers enquired if they may assist in pushing Monty on his final journey; many complete strangers cried as we all love dearly our little four-legged friends.
Carlos said that Monty died at the foot of his bed but added he held on to the family could celebrate Father’s Day.
He added: ‘Our little companions are never judgemental, are always there waiting for you and offer comfort when things haven’t gone well.
‘I would like to thank all the wonderful people that we met in Brecon and on the hills for their true kindness and genuine sympathy.
‘He was truly a special boy. God bless and goodnight little fella.’
